Earlier Works

Before writing as V. M. Couture, I published my first fantasy series under the pen name Valena D’Angelis. Those books remain online as a reminder of where I began. They’re raw, full of epic battles and grief and transformation, and they carry the heart of a writer still learning her craft. My focus now is romantasy, but those earlier works are part of my journey.

Tempest of Bravoure

In darkness, they will fight.
In freedom, she will rise.

This is the story of Ahna, a dark elf who must learn to accept the past in order to face the future.

Tempest of Bravoure is a story of acceptance, duty, and fighting for what you believe in, brought to life by a diverse cast of heroes and heroines worth rooting for. The series takes readers into an imaginative world filled with adventure, strange creatures, and unexpected twists.

At its heart, it is a journey of self-discovery and a story about finding your way home,
sometimes in the unlikeliest of places.
